Piano Teacher Jobs in the Twin Cities Minnesota

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  • Instructors choose between 5 days a week, 3 days a week, or 1 day a week with an average of 10-12 students daily during high volume times of the day (after school and weekends). Positions are also available substitute / short call flexible schedule.

  • We look for teachers who are masters of their craft and have a strong knowledge of curriculum and pedagogy. Our teachers have the freedom to select the methodology and teaching strategies appropriate for each individual student.

    We teach all styles from pop, rock , jazz, country, blues, and classical in our piano lessons.

  • Our teachers have degrees from some of the most reputable colleges and universities. Degrees in music education and/or instrument performance are preferred.

    We look for music teachers with considerable experience successfully teaching students.

    MMTA Certification and experience is preferable. Familiarity with RCM or ABRSM is a bonus.

    More importantly, all of our teachers have warm, friendly personalities, and strive to get to know each student as individuals.

  • For the safety of our students and the commitment to our community, we thoroughly vet all teaching candidates with a 5 step process:

    1. Greeting video call with a school representative

    2. Employment Application with previous employment verification, education verification, and thorough background check

    3. Playing Video. Music teacher candidates will upload a performance video on their primary teaching instrument.

    4. In person teaching interview (for full time candidates).

    5. Sub teaching day for applicants with less than 5 years of music teaching experience.
